Lawn & Garden Fertilizers
"A beautiful lawn doesn't happen by itself".
We know the statement above is very true, so our knowledgeable staff is always here to help!
There are a few things to remember when deciding what fertilizer to use and when...
Test your soil, when starting with this step you know what your lawns needs for nutrients to thrive during the season!
Fertilizer is necessary for lawns health and growth, such as what levels of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium are needed and at one times during the season!
Simply put, most grasses will benefit from FOUR applications per year. Spread out applications, 60 days apart.
Starting in early spring, approximately 30 days before "growing season." This application will get grass off to a fast start giving you that rich green color.
Next application will be mid-summer, around the fourth of July,
Another application in early fall, early-September,
And final application of fertilizer before first frost, around October!
Always follow the guidelines, located on the back of each bag of fertilizer!
*Also remember to clean your lawn before beginning regular maintenance in the spring, rake up leaves, remove fallen branches and fill in any holes with top soil!*
